Safety routines
Arrival and dismissal
A teacher greets each child at the door in the morning and walks each child to the right car or bus line in the afternoon. Only the adults on the family's pickup list may collect a child.
Child-protection training
Every adult who works with children, staff and volunteers alike, completes the diocese's child-protection training and a background check.
Visitors
Every visitor signs in at the office and wears a badge. Parents who help in a classroom sign in the same way.
Drills
We practice fire and tornado drills on a calendar the principal keeps, and we tell the children beforehand what each drill is.
Allergies
Tell us about allergies once you enroll; we ask privately. Each teacher keeps the plan for the children in the room.
Illness
A child who is unwell stays home until the next morning, and a teacher calls a parent when a child is unwell at school.
