What children learn

What each stage learns

The faith is part of every week, and the work grows with the child.

  • Kindergarten

Letters, numbers and daily routines, a morning prayer and a weekly Mass with the older grades.

  • Grades 1 and 2

Reading and writing take off, and grade 2 prepares for First Reconciliation and First Communion.

  • Grades 3 to 5

Longer books, multiplication, science projects and a weekly service job around the school.

  • Grades 6 to 8

Math and science with a teacher for each subject, a religion class on the faith and daily life, and Confirmation preparation in grade 8.

Two languages

English and Spanish, in one office

Parents may write, call or visit in English or Spanish, and notes home go out in both. Classes are taught in English, and teachers who speak Spanish help children and families settle in.
